RESOURCE BASIS
Resource Conservation and Innovation
The responsible use of resources is a central component of our corporate strategy. Our aim is to use raw materials efficiently, avoid waste and strengthen material cycles in a sustainable manner.
To this end, we are constantly optimising our products, production processes and value chains. Through lean management, digitalisation and automated processes, we reduce material losses, avoid overproduction and increase resource efficiency throughout the entire value chain.
At the same time, we are already thinking about the raw materials of tomorrow. As fossil resources are finite, we are working with partners to explore alternative, bio-based sources of raw materials. One example is tall oil, a by-product of pulp production which, as a renewable carbon source, offers potential for future packaging solutions.
Our approach
Conserving fossil resources
Promoting circular material flows
Continuously improving resource efficiency and material utilisation
Testing and developing bio-based alternatives
Preparing for future regulatory requirements in the long term
Achieving more together
A functioning circular economy can only be achieved through collaboration. That is why we work closely with partners across the entire value chain – from raw material producers, through brand owners and retailers, to recyclers and reusers.
Furthermore, we are involved in research projects, industry initiatives and dialogue with environmental organisations to develop innovative solutions for a resource-efficient and sustainable packaging industry.
