Maag I pro-tect – Packaging for the circular economy

With Maag I pro-tect, we develop packaging solutions that are consistently designed in accordance with the principles of ‘Design for Recycling’. Right from the development stage, the choice of materials, packaging design, colours and printing are coordinated in such a way as to create the conditions for high-quality material recovery.

All packaging solutions in the Maag I Pro-tect product range have been tested and certified for recyclability by the independent institute cyclos-HTP. Depending on the material group, they achieve a recyclability rate of up to 92–94 per cent. The assessment is carried out in accordance with the minimum standards of the Central Packaging Register (ZSVR) and recognised standards such as EN 13430 and ISO 14021.

Our approach begins as early as the development phase. Together with partners along the value chain, we develop packaging solutions that support existing recycling infrastructure and create the conditions for high-quality material streams.
